TSR Just when you thought it was all over.... now there’s a fourth TSR!

In the story that will never end, after having this week turned itself into Wonderfilled, Inc, and deleted its Twitter account, TSR is BACK AGAIN! Like again, again, again, again. Complete with old-school logo! And Michael appears to actually exist!

Michael K. Hovermale says in a press release that an unnamed individual (I’m guessing Stephen Dinehart) apparently ran all the social media accounts for TSR, Dungeon Hobby Shop Museum, Ernie Gygax, Justin LaNasa, and Giantlands. He goes on to say that this person has been replaced, and that all posts on those social media accounts are "invalid". There's no mention of Stephen Dinehart's social media accounts though.

Dinehart has left TSR3, taking Giantlands with him. Given that Star Frontiers mentions have been quietly removed a week or so ago, that would leave TSR3.5 without any roleplaying game products, as far as I can tell.

The existing (TSR3} website still says it's WONDERFILED (sic), Inc. However there’s now a NEW one at TSR Hobbies. We’ll call that TSR3.5 for now. I’m struggling to distinguish TSRs from tribbles at this point. They just keep on coming!

I don't really know what to say anymore, but my job is to report the news. So here's the news.

Except they've confirmed they're publishing under WFD, which is... the exact same thing run by the exact same people?
I'm pretty sure that TSR3 (LaNasa & Gygax) continues . . . there is no TSR4 . . . and that Dinehart decided to leave TSR3 and take his toys (Giantlands) with him. Dinehart already had been using the Wonderfilled name, and decided to use it again to publish Giantlands. He obviously had the keys to the website, and took that with him too.

That leaves TSR3 with no products . . . other than some rebranded dollar store dice and some crappy kids books LaNasa wrote. And, the Hobby Shop "Museum" I suppose. But no games in the pipeline.

It's unclear if there was a falling out between Dinehart, LaNasa, and Gygax . . . they could all still be toxic buddies and supporting one another. It's hard to tell through the miasma of incompetence they all share.

Ultimately, Giantlands will be lucky if they even fulfill their kickstarter pledges plus the handful of pre-orders they may have gotten. The game will suck, and will soon disappear into the dustbin of dead games. Both Wonderfilled and TSR3 will deteriorate and fade away, with Dinehart, LaNasa, and E. Gygax having no real future in the TRPG hobby. As it should be. Sadly, Jim Ward will be more remembered for his support of regressive ideas and toxic individuals than his contribution to early D&D and TSR history.

Yeah, anyone daring to question the "New" Star Frontiers was immediately banned from the main Star Frontiers group on FB.

Make any remarks about how it won't actually be Star Frontiers except in name? Gone. Say anything negative about TSR3 at all? Gone.
Ugh, yuck.

I found two public Star Frontiers groups on FaceBook and neither one of them appear to be affiliated with TSR3, but I didn't dive in very deep (I try to limit my exposure to FB). The first is called "Star Frontiers: Alive & Well," with 3.8K members and created July 19 2009. The other is called "Inclusive Star Frontiers" with 172 members, created on June 27 2021.

Huh? There’s absolutely overlap between TERFs and other anti-trans groups…
While “zero” may be hyperbolic overstatement, my understanding is that TERFs, despite their intolerance, are largely left wing, and probably mostly female. The others are rlargely males on the right.

The intersections between these group will be slivers if not singular points.
