Curious. There was an earlier Kickstarter that also had a 5e version. I wonder what the difference is? Different era maybe?

Yes, it was different - earlier - era. This should be the "standard" Talislanta setting, but with 5e rules.

Yeah that was a different era, which is why I wasn't interested.

This is the OG 1986 milieu.

I'm cautiously hype about this one.

Oh, this is neat. I used to read the books for fun. They really leaned hard into the Jack Vance thing with the weird cultures.

The original Chronicles of Talislanta book was actually system-neutral, so you could drop it into your game.

I backed and have used the 5e Talislanta - The Savage Land, and I find it to be an excellent resource.

My main concern on this new one: "four epic books" sounds great, but definitely doesn't sound cheap. I'll take a look when it launches though, for sure.
