While all of these series have recent TV shows and/or movies, all the art we've seen is from the original incarnations, and the Power Rangers ad copy even refers to the "Zordon era." This makes me think they are leaning heavily on the nostalgia of existing gamers.
The Transformers art aren't G1 tho, that's totally the evergreen designs. And the Power Rangers art is evocative of the Boom Studios comics, which, while set in the Zordon era, are their own narrative.

I wonder if we wil can allow some space for an updated version of Transformers kiss player, something like cybertronians with waifus, but this time something softer and more innocent tone, even almost framily-friendly with a touch of comedic, and with a totally different name, for example "power maiden", like a sci-fi version of magica girls, or an alternate universe where cybertronians face creatures with mystic powers or linked with totem spirits (the power source of special power rangers).

What about a human-cybertronian hybrid as Sari Sumdac?

Technically transformers aren't mecha but practically they look giant robots, and this allows to label the franchise as mecha.

GI Joe has had three movies. One in 2009, 2013 and the latest one 'Snake Eyes: GI Joe Origins' just came out this week. Not a coincidence. :)

Essence20 only has 4 Ability scores and I believe only does 1 point of damage per hit. Its not as directly compatible and I'd hope but it sounds cool.

Being able to make your own G.I. Joe is one of the things I loved about them as a kid. All you needed is a small Phillips head screwdriver and you could kitbash your own characters. Those B.A.T.s were great for adding cybernetic limbs, for example. Of the three, I'm looking forward to G.I. Joe the most - I'm old enough that I missed Power Rangers, and while Transformers were up my alley as a kid (and I still think the toys are cool), the appeal of playing a transforming robot in an RPG isn't as immediate to me.

This book contains everything you need to create your own G.I. JOE character and play the game - just add dice, some friends, and your imagination.

Despite having no strong emotional or nostalgic connection to any of the properties, the G.I.Joe game is the one I'm curious to look at. I had the big, 12" Joes (the Kung-Fu Grip era!) when I was a kid, so when the cartoon came around in the '80s I didn't understand why it wasn't about those guys. But I had friends who were into it - some or all of them ironically - and there was so much Joe stuff then and since, that I can grok it.

Neither I nor my kids were ever the right age any of the times that the Power Rangers or Transformers were really popular, so although I've seen snippets of episodes and the toys are cool, I've got no skin in the game there. I have friends just a bit younger than me who will be all over the Transformers game, though.
