D&D General Is there a reason to visit WotC HQ?

Ugh, now you're making me want to make the trip again!

Just checked, it is pretty close to where we will be staying. I may just sneak out there on my own for a quick photoshoot. I will need to check to see if the lobby is open though!

There are some gorgeous parks in and around Seattle. I remember Schmitz Park in West Seattle being amazing; 50+ acres with substantial quantities of old growth rain forest preserved from before they would have been logged!

This park, in the middle of West Seattle, has 1.7 miles of hiking trails in a natural forest setting, and offers the opportunity to see old growth conifers that once were common in Puget Sound forests.

I think the best tour of WotC headquarters is the PAX South 2018 episode of Acquisitions Incorporated, where they adventure there for a bit.

The dragon is kind of cool if you happen to be in the neighborhood, but it's just an office building. They never let you in to the extra-dimensional floors for "security" reasons and "your safety".

Yeah, i hear they stopped doing that after that unfortunate incident where they let a tourist peek into the employee break-room of devouring.

Thanks for the reply! That is kinda what I assumed, but I wasn't sure. Thank you for confirming. I had pretty much given up on the idea because I realized I will be in the area during D&D Celebration and I imagine they really will not want to do any tours are that time!

I recommend going to the Museum of Pop Culture (MoPop) instead, it's pretty awesome.

I'm going to Seattle soon for about 5 days and will have some free time. Is there any value or reason to visit WotC HQ? Is there a tour or anything worthwhile in visiting? Just curious if it is something I should look into or not. Thanks!

It's an office where people work. I wouldn't suggest doing so unless invited.

I came here to say this. The museum is great, with props and costumes from some fantasy, sci-fi, and horror movies--as well as musical exhibits.
