There are some gorgeous parks in and around Seattle. I remember Schmitz Park in West Seattle being amazing; 50+ acres with substantial quantities of old growth rain forest preserved from before they would have been logged!

Schmitz Preserve Park
This park, in the middle of West Seattle, has 1.7 miles of hiking trails in a natural forest setting, and offers the opportunity to see old growth conifers that once were common in Puget Sound forests.
Yeah, i hear they stopped doing that after that unfortunate incident where they let a tourist peek into the employee break-room of devouring.The dragon is kind of cool if you happen to be in the neighborhood, but it's just an office building. They never let you in to the extra-dimensional floors for "security" reasons and "your safety".
It's an office where people work. I wouldn't suggest doing so unless invited.
I came here to say this. The museum is great, with props and costumes from some fantasy, sci-fi, and horror movies--as well as musical exhibits.
