D&D 5E Eberron Equipment Conversions.

I made a PDF of my conversions of several armors, weapons, and adventuring gear from several 3.5 and 4e Eberron books. I was saddened that E:RftLW didn't convert even half of these. I've tried my best to balance these against existing equipment and use 5e's conventions. Aside from the conversions and the base layout, I kinda phoned it in. But you can't beat the price (free).

Edit: Now up to v2.0 — I modified the file a bit.

Download it here.

You've obviously worked hard on this and it seems both nice and a good conversion of earlier works.

However I think that some of the armor is just too good in 5e terms. Darkleaf breastplate and Dreamhide (Light but AC 14 + DEX) and Darkleaf banded armor (Medium but AC 16 + DEX (max +2)), in particular, have better AC's than any other armor of their types. With Bounded Accuracy a +1 AC is a lot bigger deal in 5e than in previous editions and the +2 AC bonus over Studded Leather that the Darkleaf Breastplate and the Dreamhide have is just too good.

Maybe you consider changing the Darkleaf breastplate and the Dreamhide to Medium Armor and dropping the Darkleaf Banded Armor to AC 15 + (DEX max 2)?

I'm also a little skeptical about the weight of the Banded Armor. Banded is basically Splint but with the metal bits being horizontal and not vertical. Should it really be 25 pounds lighter (35 lb instead of 60 lb)?

You're right about that. It's mostly an oversight on my part — I spent more time on weapons at the expense of the armor. Oops. :D

The weight on the normal banded armor should have been 55 lb. (moderately lower than splint, like in previous editions).

I'll revise that soon. Thanks! This is exactly the kind of feedback I need.
