D&D 5E why has none of the wisdom races caught on?

My first impression would be some sort of dryad/ent, nature generally has themes of life and/or healing whereas trees are often associated with sturdiness which would fit for monk side of things

you are asking about a single race that fits all four cleric, monk, druid and ranger right? And in a more thematic sense than mechanically? Or each individually.
each individually as I want to see what would be like first before anyone tries to make a single one that fits all areas?

I’m probably not going to be much more help as my extent of knowledge of the various races pretty much end at the PHB and a few of the more famous ones, but personally the idea of a dwarven ranger/druid appealed to me, playing up their connection to the earth itself rather than plants like is more common.

This might have been brought up already, but aren't Wood Elves a "wisdom" race? They seem to be pretty popular around here. Are they that frowned upon as a subrace at large?

it is honestly kinda terrible and I am guilty of it.
It happens. But man are the possibilities pretty neat/fun once the restriction is removed.

I mean, how else can one play as a Giant Centipede Fighter Battle-Master Subclass if you stick with only official WoTC stuff? I can totally make it happen thanks to the 5E Blue Rose Adventurer's Guide. Humblewood can allow me to make a Canadian Goose Monk too. And once I purchase it, I'll be able to do Drider PCs thanks to another option that AAW Games has put out.

I totally blew my ex's mind last week when we were talking about DND and I mentioned the Alseid from Midgard 5E. She was like "What's that?" and I showed her the image. She still can't believe it. lol. (She mostly plays Pathfinder and 4E.)
