Generally Discouraged (In-Person Gaming)

Yeah just this afternoon I was having a conversation with a co-worker I've worked pretty closely with for the past 3-4 years. He said "I don't even know what religion you are." My response as I walked away, doing my best Christian Bale Batman impersonation "and you'll never have to."
I'm wiling to bet that by "religion" he meant "denomination."

And I'd answered "none" it would be "cool, so you're non-denominational." ;)
I try to play off everything as a mystery - religion, politics, etc.
My wife - who is younger and "not from these parts" - is very opinionated and outspoken about such things. People assume we're aligned on such issues, but we're more complimentary than identical. In fact, we can barely have a discussion about these topics without a full-on argument.
Still, none of this should impact gaming. I've run games for people of various ideologies (unless they're a jerk with those ideologies). It's just that my beliefs are a nonstarter for most socialization in my part of the US - which isn't the Midwest because we don't have meat raffles.
