I have in mind that they'll go with a ''treasure hunt'' adventure where the DM can decide which space island in the 12s will be the X. All the others will have clues to gather to find that big coffer full of"Captain's Log, we're two weeks out of the Rock of Braal and now deep in Neogi territory. Avlas, my elvin first mate and former armada marine seems worried. He thinks something has been shadowing us these past two days, just out of our range of our spyglasses..."
I've got a whole edition of Spelljamming stuff to back me up, so I'm not too bothered by the small size - just need the 5E conversion rules for my other stuff basically. If however, the adventure book is a sort of space lairs/encounters I can drop here or there I'll be happy. I just don't need a campaign out of it.
Don't you mean ...Not going for a ''Treasure Island'' type of game in such a small book would be a missed opportunity, I think.
Yes this!Don't you mean ...

It is for a non-necessity, at least to me. I don't like paying $100+ to fill up my gas tank either, but you do what you have to. It makes it harder to justify overpriced gaming materials, not easier.Target thoughts while procuring coffee & diapers after fillingup my minivan with gas: $70 is not "a lot of money" by just about any metric.
Yeah, YMMV, I guess. But Frappuccinos aren't really a necessity. $70 for a longterm bit of fun is a good value, still. It is for a non-necessity, at least to me.
