I agree. There's a lot a 5e Spelljammer setting could offer. I hope there's more to it than the abstract craziness they've showed so far.
I'm reminded of how people here say "well you never bought the book, the adventure is x, y, z unlike the marketing."

I likely pass on this, as I have several of the most recent books, because if I'm not the target marketing audience, I'm not going to buy it to find out. :p

That said, the premise of all of this is so bizarre, it probably needs to be leaned into with a smile.

I went to Circus World when I was a child. I feel like I'm impervious to Clown Fear(tm) because of that.

That being said, I do keep my associates at the Halloween store from dressing like clowns because some people have legitimate phobias!
