D&D 5E Being strong and skilled is a magic of its own or, how I learned to stop worrying and love anime fightin' magic

I also don’t want to play “some swole guy” I want to play an epic warrior of legend
It's incoherent to try and say Dumbledore and the swolest guy at your local gym should both be protagonists in the same story.
batman, Odysseus, Daredevil, COnan are all threats to Harry potter, only 1 has a power (and it is more to make up for being blind) and none of them do magic... and in a multiverse crossover where the whole multiverse is threatened they could all team up with harry (legal rights not withstanding)

To be clear:

I have changed my mind and everyone (who wants it) should shout to the mountain tops that they want a new class(es) with magical martial abilities.

It definitely will not happen now if you don't try. Just don't be disappointed if the don't make the change, If you really want to make this change, survey responses are not enough. Organize a massive social media push and survey response. Maybe an online petition. Make a huge coordinated effort. Get your message straight, make it clear, and pressure the heck out of them. Here is my outline:
  1. Organize
  2. Develop your message
  3. Coordinate a response to each survey
  4. Meet with influential bloggers, youtubers, and publishers (MCDM)
  5. Get your message out.
  6. Attend events with WotC staff and has them about your demands
  7. Make it happen!
The clock is ticking!

Batman is an artificer tho

this is very much the issue.

batman is especially an issue because of the up and down. you can read about him fighting Darkseid one week and the next week launch a 5 part 'epic' where a serial killer gives him trouble.
And it isn't just batman (although maybe he is the poster child) because I can say the same with spiderman, wolverine, captain America

I just think you need to give the warriors the ability to keep up with gandalf, dr strange, and dr fate is not 'robin hood' without 'robin hood' getting something on par.

Sufficiently advanced marital martial ability is indistinguishable from magic.

sort of yeah. I mean if you watch an action movie and someone (just watched an episode of scorpion with fiancé) jumps off a multi story building with a extension cord wrapped around themselves and a big cinderblock... and land on different sided of a flag pole to 'slow them down' that might as well be magic...

(To be fair that was not the worst example of "That's not how that works" in that episode... but the showiest)

Batman is a monk.
Lucius Fox is an artificer.
yes batman the monk with artificers working for him makes sense...
