Kobold Avenger
Legend
A Winged legacy of Tieflings would probably have to give up resistance and a bunch of spells. I'm aware the Fairy has a fly speed and some spells, but their spellcasting limited compared to the Tiefling.

I doubt we will see true flight in a level 1 core option.A Winged legacy of Tieflings would probably have to give up resistance and a bunch of spells. I'm aware the Fairy has a fly speed and some spells, but their spellcasting limited compared to the Tiefling.
Yeah, you've touched on my main issue with Teifling too: the complete exorcism of their true nature as soul sucking hellspawn in favour of persecuted minority.
In 4e when the tiefling became a core race, I remember someone describing its sorta-like-but-not-really devilish flavor, as "I-cant-believe-its-not-satan!" margarine. Not even that anymore!
Now they are seen as hero's across the multiverse.
I prefer to go back to the beginning.
In the beginning they were a persecuted minority. Also there is nothing suggesting they are seen as heroes, just that they are accepted. Which they already were in this edition and 4e.Not even that anymore!

But hyperbole gonna hyperbole. le sighIn the beginning they were a persecuted minority. Also there is nothing suggesting they are seen as heroes, just that they are accepted. Which they already were in this edition and 4e.
You are right, not hero's.In the beginning they were a persecuted minority. Also there is nothing suggesting they are seen as heroes, just that they are accepted. Which they already were in this edition and 4e.
Ancestors did that not the current ones. You are right, not hero's.
Just legends who made sacrifices to earn victory against fiendish incursions, but certainly not hero's.![]()
