Obviously the executives did not realize how interconnected the community is.
I hope they wait till this us fixed to release it.
That means nothing to One D&D.The promotional push and playtest, "code name" OneD&D is shot. There is likely no salvaging the relationship with content creators or 3PP.
The smiling reveal videos on DND Beyond are going to have a veil of regret, knowing they failed to convince the biggest names in the industry to follow.
While they may get people to buy and play 6E, OneD&D will be remembered as a failure because it splintered the community in a way we haven't seen in the modern era (15 years?)
They blew it.
Maybe wait until the actual Wizards response.Nah. Wizards gets what it gives.
I have content that will now be delisted from platforms. Books I've written that have been cancelled.

that seems silly, they have been listening to feedback, and while they are making a VTT, VTT's are not the only way to play.I'm not the target audience for the playtest, but I was already suspicious that a) they were not genuinely interested in listening to feedback and b) that the changes they were making were meant to facilitate vtt-only play.
I don't. I want D&D to do well, and I think to best way for that is to back track.Fantastic, hopefully they crash and burn and we get a number of viable competitors out there.
