He / Him
I haven't seen a Marvel Movie since Avengers: Endgame. I'm a little burnt out on both superhero and Star Wars media. I'm sure one day I'll return to it, or enjoy watching them during a sick day or something!

I was meaner here than I normally would be. I decided to vote "bad" if I only thought they were "fine" (like Black Widow, which I loved everything with her family and hated anything with actual 'bad guys' in it).

Aside from the Spidey flicks, Shang Chi was probably the best overall film out of that group, though. Let's see if the poll reflects that...

The poll is largely saying everything was good except The Eternals. Personally, I think everything was bad except the latest Spidey flick, but opinions clearly vary! :)

It was difficult coming up with a criteria for myself. None of these movies are perfect, but I'm willing to forgive some missteps for a fun time and the continuation of the MCU. The only one I ended up rating as bad is Love and Thunder. The humor didn't work nearly as well as it did in Ragnarok, Gor needed to kill more gods on screen, and the whole wish thing did not do it for me.

Ultimately, this crop of post-Endgame movies was fine but felt like a letdown in comparison to Phase 3. I didn't expect it to be as good as Phase 3 since that a was a culminating set of movies, but I expected a similar level of quality and character crossover. Both dropped and that bugs me more than anything. My hope is that Marvel saying they're going to slow down and focus on quality is true and that we see that going forward.

Did you not like Shang Chi, or did you not see it? (It DID have the same problem as most Superhero films, in that the end was basically a CGI mess, but not as bad as Black Widow's "falling base" CGI mess, or Wonder Woman's "Thewlis in a CG-battlesuit" mess.)

It had its moments, but I think I'm largely fatigued on the formula. I'd say the same for Black Widow--the humour between the two leads was great, but the rest wasn't. Maybe it is just the CGI battle endings?
