I saw an article on that, first bank run triggered by Twitter panic or some such?

Nah, it was Peter Thiel, a Silicon Valley archvillain, who apparently got a whiff that SVB hadn't backed up their funds the way they ought to, pulled his investments out, people heard about that and mentioned that a billionaire had pulled out of a bank and had the fairly rational response of "uh oh, what does he know that we don't?"

SVB did screw up. As much as I am not a Thiel fan, this is on the bank, not him.

True but to be fair not that simple.
If the CEO had kept his mouth shut for 24 more hours while they nailed some things down the twitter panic was probably avoidable.

MY mouth? No way man, that thing has a mind of its own. It's gotten me into more trouble than any other part of my body, including the parts that are supposed to stay covered. I'd give it a 10% chance, tops.
