Cookin again

That doesn’t surprise me.

Not only have I heard of that before, there’s a lot of sweet/smoky/savory South American salsas- especially certain moles (“mo-lays”) that use chocolate in them.

Well at D&D today (well Star Wars) we had smokey hummus, crackers and cheese and sweet Chilli chips as snack.

I've got hazelnut chocolate here not a fan of the Chilli stuff that much.

I forget just how much work home-made chicken curry, naan, and rice are until I decide to make it again. But when I do, I remember how amazing home-made chicken curry, naan, and rice are. I use Raghavan Iyer’s chicken curry and naan recipes from Indian Cooking Unfolded. Brown rice in a pot on the stove with chicken broth instead of water.
Used up the remaining ingredients to make another curry. This time with chickpeas (instead of chicken) and brown rice. Absolutely love that curry recipe. No naan because I'm being lazy.

Mom’s 77th was this weekend. She didn’t want a party, and only invited one person over. She also requested misty takeout dishes, but wanted me to make her cake an a carrot & raisin salad. So here’s the results:

Not mine, but I like how this looks and might try something similar soon.

Called mousetrap here been a fine NZ tradition for years. Usually cheese and onion.

Lightly toast in a toaster then grill with whatever toppings you like cheese is fairly constant.

More modern takes include pita or essentially turning it into a mini pizza.

The egg is what sold me. I love Eggs Benedict, but rarely want to futz around making hollandaise sauce. So I make & eat all kinds of egg on bread dishes as substitutes.

We sent bother at hone our favorite place for eggs Benedict does a breakfast bagel. Essentially Eggs Bennie in a bagel.

We acquired a large bottle of hollandaise sauce but don't particularly like it.

Might gave a bew breakfast favorite only problem is theor eggs Benedict is inferior to the other option.

And wife pretty much only eats eggs Benedict. New place did a very good bacon and eggs though.

My mother's basic mousetrap as a kid was cheese and onion maybe pineapple with beef stock or herbs sprinkled on top.
