If the replaced Din it would gave to be organic I think. Eg his story seems done or Pedro wants to focus on movies and leaves the show.

If it's Disney firing him or pulling a Rise of Skywaljer and saying Bo or whoever is tge new Mando it woukd suck.

Hard to do but not impossible.

I agree but ots really difficult for TV shows to replace the main character.

ATM I'm finding Bo Katans story more interesting than Mandos. Dynamic of the show is Mando+Grogus relationship though.

Doctor Who has a built in story mechanism to pull it off.

Its not impossible but difficult. It's like a band replacing a lead singer. It's a real crapshoot to its success rate.

True. Mandalorian could pull ot off ultimately its up to the audience and if they buy into or accept the change.

Like I keep saying, this wouldn't be an issue if they'd just spun this season off as The Book of Bo-Katan!

The Clone Wars cartoon was very specifically modeled on the old pulpy adventure story format, complete with non-sequential storylines. One of these days I'm going to get around to watching the show in chronological order.

the clear implication of calling a show with an ongoing narrative "the Mandalorian" is that one of the characters involved in that entire narrative is the titular Mandalorian.

I think that's almost certainly how this series ends. I'm guessing it won't happen until the very end, because I don't think they really want to incorporate Mandalorian armor visually into his baby yoda look.
