On the other, it means Din spent two years commuting via public transport before he reconnected with the Armorer or got himself a new ship.
Ships are expensive and the Armorer was in hiding.

But it would have better indicated the passage of time if Grogu had not been in Book of Boba Fett. Din could have mentioned hunting for the Armorer and needing the money for a new ship. Then Pel could have talked to him about the absence of Grogu whist selling him a ship. Then Mandalorian season 3 would have started with tracking down the Armorer and reuniting with Grogu. Which would have made a much stronger start to the season.

Just about to start the finale. I note that the caption for the episode reads “The Mandalorian and his allies confront their enemies.”

Emphasis mine.

Episode is 41 mins.

Grogu is the Mandalorian.
He is now! But why is he Din Grogu, rather than Grogu Djarin?

No Thrawn as some people speculated.

Fun jetpack fight.

No clarification on who the other spies from last episode were. (I hope the sickly Mandalorians that the Armorer conspicuously ferried back to the fleet were evacuated safely before Axe crashed the cruiser.)

Grogu saved his “parents”!

I was expecting the mythosaur to interrupt Ragnar’s ceremony as a callback to the first episode, but I guess they’re saving it for another season (or the movie).

Fun episode nothing to dramatic in terms of speculation.
I don’t think anyone was expecting the darksaber to get destroyed. That was a bit of a surprise!

Hopefully Ace and co won’t ditch Bo again. Surely reclaiming the planet and relighting the forge is enough for now.

Anyone else spot Dave Filoni in his trademark hat? 😉

On a different note, what was with the whole “adopting Grogu and making him my apprentice” thing? Sounded very Jedi-ish.
