Mando season 3

Yeah, or maybe they just had to be more conservative with fuel while hiding out on that planet. None of them had any ships, so it’s not like they could go get more. They were probably rationing it.

Yeah. I guess it was a “if I can’t have it, then no one can” combined with a “look at how strong I am in this powered armor” moment.
They've shown themselves to be willing to to anything to save a foundling. They wouldn't have let several of them die if they could follow. I think any rationing would have been in the form of, "Don't use the jetpack outside of an emergency," which saving a foundling would be.

The power of plot shorted them on flight time when chasing that foundling, and the power of plot allowed them to fly a bunch in this last episode. That's all. :)

If any of the Gideon clones survived, it will be the one who opened his eyes while Grogu was staring at him. There was probably some sort of Force connection there.

Clone tanks in different location.

Same reason they can bring Palpatine back if they feel the need.

He didn't gave enough of them in that location (12?). Even if they are force sensitive they're essentially Luke in IV before he meets Kenobi.

Is Din literally the ONLY Mandalorian with his name that way around?
He could be, since he was a foundling. Maybe that's how they did it on his home planet.

Talking of armour, too, slightly surprised that the Praetorian Guard were taken down with a blaster given that their armour is canon blaster-proof - I guess perhaps back in this period it wasn't?
Probably. But they did make a point of having Din shoot them in the feet multiple times. I think he was also aiming for in between the armored plates as well.

... the droid that literally no-one but Favreau gives only single solitary shake of a lamb's tail about.
I thought that was fine because it resolved that plot thread and it gave Din a home without the obligation of having to be Carga's marshal. He and Grogu can just relax there until the New Republic or Bo-Katan come calling.

I don't think it's meant to be a surname. I think he's Din-Grogu, the same way that she is Bo-Katan.
Maybe! (As an aside, did you know that Bo-Katan was named after Filoni's cat?)

I took that as.....I have surpassed this. I am now the ultimate weapon, and I have surpassed the mandalorian culture and everything it stands for.

I can understand that.

Even so, it felt a little bit like I sat through a lot of conflict to not get much of a resolution. There was a lot of build up concerning how the Darksaber was special, even among other light sabers. In particular, it was hinted to be somewhat sentient or have some semblance of willpower. I expected a little more.

I'm nitpicking a bit. I still enjoyed the episode. In general, it was just a little more empty (emotionally) than I expected for wrapping up a significant story arc.

The end result of the series appears to be an explanation of better military technology for the First Order, in comparison to what came before.

In addition, Mando returns to his life as a hired gun -but only for the good guys now.

Visually, everything looked cool. The cinematography seemed mostly good.

I'm curious how Beskar fares against older guns that use slugs instead of blasters. Knives and various other things still appear to somewhat work

I think your assuming that the Darksaber being destroyed, means the darksaber was destroyed.

It isn't.... this is the universe where a Sith literally got cut in half, thrown down an elevator shaft....and came back for more. The emperor got blown up in the death star, and came back for more. Heck that IG droid just got resurrected and no one even really cared about him!

The darksaber just needs to be repaired up, probably part of Bo's quest to continue her ascension to Mandolore leader or messiah or XYZ. So yeah I am sure the darksaber will be back.

Fair enough.

I was expecting it to be a bigger factor than it was.

It wasn't quite the letdown of Luke tossing a saber off a cliff, but it was similarly empty to me.

I think there was a missed opportunity to use the darksaber in a manner similar to Captain America finally being able to pick up mjolnir. Even if it did eventually get crushed or whatever, I think it would have helped to make the emotional journey(s) of Din (as well as Bo and others) more fulfilling.

Season 3 hinted at a lot of things being important but then didn't follow through on having them actually be important. Still good, but a little odd at times because of that.

In comparison, the end of season 2 literally brought people to tears.

Again, I did overall enjoy the most recent episode. However, something feels a little emptier than the show has been previously.

Pretty much how I felt. 1-6 meandered a bit 7 kinda wrapped it up 8 played it very safe. Minor nitpick here and there but nothing to exciting either.

Noted clone Gideon and "real"Gideon had no mustache.
