D&D 5E When Did 5E Peak Quality Wise?

Is it even supposed to peak? I just started a new 5E campaign, and we're on session #16. Spirits are high, everyone is having fun, and we all look forward to Friday nights like we have for the last eleven years. If 5E is supposed to have peaked, I guess we're doing it wrong.

Talking about product not your personal game.

If you think the product right now is the peak by all means say so;).

As the title says. When was 5E "golden age"? At least for you.

For me round 2017-19 Xanathars to Eberron. YMMV of course. Don't care about the adventures but the splat and campaign books I like the best are from that timeframe iirc.
How do you define quality and/or quality of what?

Regarding the art, what I care about the most, it looks like 2024 might be the peak from the dragon's they previewed recently.

Up to you to define it. Whatever you like. I suppose what are your favorite 5E products and was there a timeframe they landed together.

I find the reactions to Tasha's here extremely interesting, in that some people love it and some hate it. It will also be interesting to what extent the 2024 revision follows on from Tasha's, or if that book turns out to be an experiment they back away from.
I really like Tasha’s. Made monks significantly better, plus artificers. Magic tattoos. Some interesting gameplay options.

I like Lanefan’s point. One always hopes the best is yet to come!

Don’t like the power creep or the idea of magical tattoos, give me ‘regular’ magic items instead.
The best part are the new Summon spells

pretty much where I stand, looking forward to the 2024 revision and maybe they manage some interesting adventures as well, will have to see about that
