I do not want a pacing mechanic, let me decide what I do when.Nah, short tests are approximately a billion times better than long rests as a pacing mechanic.
Sometimes there would just be one big battle in the day. Like an army marching on a castle.Maybe you didn’t. I would argue whatever your DM was doing to prevent you from doing so, they were doing you a disservice.
I agree with this (although personally I didn’t feel like warlocks had too few spell slots, but I wouldn’t say no to them getting more.)I like everything except the removal of Pact Magic. When we said we wanted more spell slots, we didn't mean to gut the entire system. We just meant we wanted more spell slots.
Like, literally just give them more. Maybe base it on their casting stat? Or, like was mentioned before, give an easy way to recharge them that doesn't require a short rest. Just an "Arcane Recovery" feature that can be used x/day would work.
I... don't want nappy-byes to determine if I can keep adventuring.even more swingy, I do not like per encounter, give me per round and per day and leave the rest to me
I also like per encounter, with some dailies.even more swingy, I do not like per encounter, give me per round and per day and leave the rest to me
Those times are no worse for warlocks than they are for fighters, barbarians, monks, or rogues.Sometimes there would just be one big battle in the day. Like an army marching on a castle.
Not sure i would call that a disservice.
Long rest is also a pacing mechanic, pal.I do not want a pacing mechanic, let me decide what I do when.
Short rest to heal up, long rest for everything else.
It can, if adventuring says are fairly consistent. Though, I do think a much better solution would be to give every class a mix of at-will, short rest, and long rest abilities.I also like per encounter, with some dailies.
But having some classes on short and others on long just doesn't work too well.
Do rogues have anything at all on a short rest? Those times are no worse for warlocks than they are for fighters, barbarians, monks, or rogues.
