Most rule changes are, especially to an Evergreen game.Bet it'll be boring changes.
Go to the Reddit Unearthed Arcana forum. You will get no homebrew backlash there! I have gotten a lot of interesting ideas and monsters from that forum..Same. The best thing that can happen is for the 5E community to also more deeply embrace third party and homebrew. However, there is such a strong stigma against third party. On forums like reddit's dndnext, you really get treated poorly if you aren't a mainline designer or a homebrewer whose spent years fighting against the stigma to build a following. Sad when other communities, like the OSR, embrace mechanical creativity on a much deeper level.
if so I will miss my half elfsI suspect, the 2014 Half Elf will cease to exist.
However, 2024 will supply an example for how to build a mixed-species character. This example will be of Human and Elf parentage, and it will be reminiscent of 2014.
thank you for the heads up... always looking for new places to talk D&DGo to the Reddit Unearthed Arcana forum. You will get no homebrew backlash there! I have gotten a lot of interesting ideas and monsters from that forum..
or the 2024 MMI must admit that I am much more interested in the 2024 MM than I am Flee Mortals at this point. I backed it, but the previews haven't been doing it for me. Maybe I will change my opinion when I get the final book.
I guess the Half Elf is paradoxically a "popular misfit".if so I will miss my half elfs
IDK, I feel the whole edition (rulings over rules) empowers the DM. I know I feel pretty empowered!I wonder if we will see some of the past edition things 5e shed in pursuit of chasing simplicity and cult of the new. Especially mechanical hooks subsystems and baseline structures that empowered the gm.
Personally, I'm mad with power!IDK, I feel the whole edition (rulings over rules) empowers the DM. I know I feel pretty empowered!
