I can't say it looks any dumber than the D&D movie, except that I grew up playing D&D and not with Barbies.

Let people have their pulp nostalgia, even if it's yours.

It does look dumber than the DnD movie, although that seems quite intentional with all the Kens

but just noting that its not just girls who played with Barbie, but even then I dont think those adults would want to be taking their children to share the nostalgia and beach jokes

I never would have thought I would have any desire to see this movie but it looks like a riot. I won't see it in theaters, but I will see it.

Yeah, there's a very big difference between smart-dumb and truly dumb. The joke at the beginning about the Barbieverse is meant to underscore the artificiality of everything there, just like Barbie waving with both hands while safely driving is.
