D&D (2024) We have Arcane, Divine, and Primal lists now. Why not Psionic?

Places that are not D&D after it decided to stop trying usually consider magic it's own thing and not necessarily literally everything supernatural. Like ghosts aren't magic in most settings.

I can post a lot of examples of contemporary and modern fiction that directly disproves your point. Semantics once again dominates discussion on made up power systems, preventing mechanical innovation.

While a ghost is natural (being a soul, or perhaps specifically a soul under the influence of Shadow), it can do things that are magical.

Lmao i was more pointing out your point was self referrential and not really proving anything about superman and magic.
I don't see how.

Superman is resistant to space lasers but not magic lasers. He can be taken out by magic punches when he would shrug off superhuman punches. Superpowers and magic are different in DC.

Edit: Superman being weak to magic was established in 1964, though why that matters is unclear.

Trying to make EVERYTHING magic is exactly what is preventing innovation because it's an excuse to not give anything to the non-magical.
But saying all sources are equal in power and marvel − whether Martial, Arcane, Divine, Primal, Psionic, or other − encourages innovation to make Martial effective at higher tiers and the other sources effective at lower tiers.
