Every one of the post-Twitter apps is full of goofballs who think being on those new apps first is somehow a sign of moral and intellectual superiority.

Amazingly, it's a different group of goofballs acting this way on each of them.

"If I actually posted appropriately for this thread, at least something would probably trigger a minor firestorm, and I don't see any upside to that."

There was an "unpopular opinions" thread a couple years ago, and my opinion was so unpopular that it lead to the thread being shut down. I'm just going to steer clear of this one.

Social media post-2016, in a nutshell, all media at this point really.

You'd have to ask @Umbran. I think I recall him saying that he lives out that way. I'm here in Southern California and I just get the amusing signs to photograph. :p

There is stuff called Boston, or Boston Bibb, lettuce, a variety in the butter lettuce family. It isn't particularly Bostonian. The butter lettuces have their origins in the Mediterranian, I believe, and the first guy to grow it in the US was named John Bibb, and I think he grew it in Kentucky.

It is unclear why it is called "Boston" lettuce. It may be Mr. Bibb or others trying to associate it with something more sophisticated than Kentucky back in the late 1800s.
