Yeah, I actually took Lightly Armoured for Gale just to get rid of the Mage Armour tax on spells at the start of the day.Mage Armor isn't a ritual spell.

You didn't need to. Humans are already proficient with light armour and shields in BG3.Yeah, I actually took Lightly Armoured for Gale just to get rid of the Mage Armour tax on spells at the start of the day.
Heh, I missed that. One respec on its way.You didn't need to. Humans are already proficient with light armour and shields in BG3.
Given that lines up with D&D rules perfectly there is absolutely no chance that's a bug. The prepare at any time thing is also not a bug - I'm pretty sure at some point in EA it was more limited but they changed it. To be fair the limit of prepared spells in 5E seems kind of excessively low anyway.I know, which makes having this limit even more pointless.
It's so hard to tell what is busted on purpose and what is actually a bug...
Well, the point is that you'd have to pick and choose for the day.. It doesn't make sense for Larian to keep the limit, but then allow swapping them, because that's the same as not having a limit in the first place (just more hassle for the player). The prepare at any time thing is also not a bug - I'm pretty sure at some point in EA it was more limited but they changed it. If you're going to respec Gale anyway ... apparently (haven't tested this but about to try it), Wizards can MC easily and not lose access to higher level spells, IE, a Wizard 3 / Cleric 3 can only prepare 2nd level Cleric spells, but can learn and prepare 3rd level Wizard spells.Heh, I missed that. One respec on its way.
Yeah, I probably won't worry about that in my current game as I just haven't been using Gale, but I'm going to try it in my replay. Thinking of trying him as a druid once I can respec him.If you're going to respec Gale anyway ... apparently (haven't tested this but about to try it), Wizards can MC easily and not lose access to higher level spells, IE, a Wizard 3 / Cleric 3 can only prepare 2nd level Cleric spells, but can learn and prepare 3rd level Wizard spells.
Gale as a Lore Bard works great and is very lore friendly. If you're going to respec Gale anyway ... apparently (haven't tested this but about to try it), Wizards can MC easily and not lose access to higher level spells, IE, a Wizard 3 / Cleric 3 can only prepare 2nd level Cleric spells, but can learn and prepare 3rd level Wizard spells.
I'm thinking of giving Gale Bard levels, because that'll give him healing and bardic Inspiration to better be a better support mage, together with switching him to Divination school, should let be better brave the dice, lol.
