it is illogical, because it takes something that may be true to absurd extremes. Just because one thing is maybe an improvement over another does not mean that going to the maximum extreme of that one thing is the largest possible improvement.

No, it is not illogical. It is a syllogism. It is, by definition, logical. Literally! That's how logic works; the form is always valid, but the conclusion only follows IF the premises are, in fact, true.

You are disputing the premises. That's not a matter of logic. That's a matter of soundness. Which is literally what I said.

"More food is better" is not always true. That is, quite literally, where your argument is: You are saying that the second premise is false. A valid argument with false premises is unsound. It is not illogical. These terms have meaning.

Hasbro. EDIT: I see that this has been answered already.

The only thing I can add is: This changes nothing for me, as I didn't buy D&D from PRH anyhow, in spite of having a PRH account. I can't stand using PRH. I've heard good things about them globally, but where I am, they destroy everything they ship, invoice terribly, split orders into tiny little shipments, have a terrible ordering system... I can go on.

To answer OPs question, no. I think they have struck a fine balance of release schedule. I don't think I could keep up with a bigger release schedule. It's been well documented/discussed WoTC's release schedule os intentional.

I appreciate Mr. Colville a LOT, and even agree with many of his criticisms of 5E design. I’m excited to see where MCDM’s game goes.

But it’s kind of sad to see Mr. “DnD is the most fun you can have with your brain!” become so down on the game. The OGL really did a number on a lot of people.

For what it's worth, I'd say he's down on WotC's handling of the game rather than the game itself. A small distinction, perhaps, but I don't think it's an unimportant one.

He, on balance, doesn’t like 5e. He has often noted he sometimes dislikes aspects of it when designing for it.

I respect you a lot.

Please stop saying that because it's the best selling RPG that it's done everything right. Doing some key things right doesn't mean the game or its design has all been objectively correct.
