Unpopular Opinion: The absolute worst trend in RPGs is startup companies with little to no design cred weaponizing FOMO in crowdfunding campaigns by offering "only for backers" materials that will never be available again otherwise.

My policy on Kickstarters is as follows:

1. I'll only Kickstart from established companies.
2. I back when I want the base product as is without the addons. (Though I'll take the addons.)

Feels funny to say that TLJ was following 'modern politics' and discourse about the fandom, when it's continuing a lot of the thematic ideas and deconstructionist thoughts of say, Knights of the Old Republic 2.

Er... that is a relatively unpopular opinion. There's a pretty sizeable amount of people who love that film, stating that its genius satire.

I haven't seen it and don't have any feelings towards it, but I'd call the opinion expressed at-least controversial?
