They touch on it a bit in the documentary "Lovecraft: Fear of the Unknown", which I think is currently on Prime. They don't come straight out and call him racist, however, they talk about his seclusion and fear of the "Other."

I was being humorous given the length the actual length of the linked video... Also, I don't think that it is actually controversial that HPL was a racist.
