While it has some small degree of titillations, for the most part it is a fun adventure game that takes itself mostly seriously. It just feels wrong to see it being displaced in the public eye by this confluence of groan worthy material.

Fair enough - although this isn't really an elitist / class thing. My arguments could just as easily have come from someone from any background. It addressed the massive change in tone from thoughtful and crafted to tawdry and exploitative. It isn't like the 'high class' don't do tawdry and exploitative.

I don't mind tawdy on occasion. The Pokemon part though.......

So tactician mode first playthrough. We have been steamroller most thong.

Rapael watch wife get her clock cleaned multiple times in house of hope. She had to use hopes divine intervention and won. Laezel and Asterion (fighter11 monk 8/rogue4) did a lot of damage using Dwarven thrower.

Had a crack with her save. See.s her party wasn't the best for this fight. Got him on 3rd reload wasn't to familiar with her party composition.

Probably try it this week my Tav is a Warlock 2/fighter2/Sorcerer 7 supported by gale (level 1q wizard) Asterion (monk similar to wife's build), halsin (accuracy archer build) and rotate in whoever.

Probably dump Gale (magic missile) and go in with Shadowheart (lvl 11 light cleric/healer build), Karlach (Paladin 11 oath of ancients) and halsin or keep Gale.

Don't know if anyone has brought this up yet. So, Withers (if it's the same Withers) shows up in Tomb of Annihilation. I haven't had time to dig my book out to look into it.

described quite like the BG3 Withers, but this one is an Omuan wight made by Acererak, wearing a bronze mask.

Beat the game after a month including a restart of 60 odd hours. Summer holidays yay.

Ending. Sodden off to Avernus with Karlach and Wyll. Freed Orpheus he became a mindflayer and requested his death which I granted.

Gale sacrificed himself. Going to redo that to do the last two fights.

Final party was Sorlock tav, Gale invoker, Minsc as a Fighter 12 dwarven hammer thrower and Shadowheart as light cleric 12.

Couldn't be bothered respecting Lazeal after I rescued her from Orin. Wife's currently advancing through final stage to netherbrain.
