Jedi orders out of touch.

We've never really seen an heroic order in canon
It's one of the issues with people who came in with ANH at a young age (which includes me - 9 in 1977). They take Luke's romanticised idea of the jedi as Gospel Truth. So, when it's suggested that the order, or their understanding of the Force, was flawed, we get pushback, even though that was always part of George Lucas's vision.

But I think Lucas would subscribe to the idea that organisations are never heroic, only individuals.

How? It's not our job and we really have no way to do anything about it.
I disagree. It absolutely is our job. We should call it out when it's there. We should make it 100% clear that the fandom doesn't want toxic behavior and those that engage in it aren't actually part of the fandom.

The days of sitting on the sidelines are long gone. Those were the days when "fans" destroyed actors for playing characters - Wil Weaton, Jake Mathew Lloyd, just to name a couple. These days, it's turning to your buddy who is wearing a "Kill Wesley Crusher" shirt to a convention and telling him or her that they're being a dick. It's refusing to give views to Youtubers who post "Wokalyte" videos decrying the "politicization" of Star Wars. As if there was zero political agenda present before. :erm:

So, no, it is absolutely your job to call it out and keep calling it out.

I've seen a few fingers pointed at Yord, who makes Jar Jar look like a genius.
Yord is a weird guy to point fingers at, because he's like, 12. Well, early 20s but you know what I mean.

WAIT CHARLIE BARNETT IS 36?!!?!? naughty word me. I need to know his daily skincare regime stat! Good god. Okay well maybe then. Suddenly him having a Padawan seems a lot less wacky.

But tremendous glow of health notwithstanding, Yord probably isn't it simply because he doesn't have enough going on, and him being revealed as a Sith wouldn't be particularly exciting and more "Huh".

As if there was zero political agenda present before. :erm:
That's always the funniest thing to me. The prequels were in part about criticising George Bush and later to some extent the War on Terror, Lucas literally said so and some of the dialogue in RotS was impossible read any other way at the time. You don't get much more "political".

But I think the reality is that the phrase "political agenda" or "political" when used about TV shows/movies today doesn't have much to do with that kind of politics, but rather it's simply a euphemism for "women or non-white people or, shock horror, both, play protagonists". It's interesting that stuff that features characters that predate this getting called "political" gets away with this - c.f. Ahsoka - if those were new characters but identical, Ahsoka, Sabine, and Ezra would absolutely be "political" (lol) and the phrases "girlpower" and "girlboss" would be being bandied around sarcastically. It's pretty funny in a sad way.

They probably would have been better off having a bad apple or two. Having competent Jedi enhances Palpatine and Vader as well.

One theory is if tge Sirhbis one of tge Jedi it's another recycled legends plotline.

Basically Jedi masters visions lead them to murder Padawans. One of the masters was a Sith.

Sure. Apart from one thing. He alibis Osha. Either he did tail her without being observed, or he is lying for some undisclosed purpose. Either way, it suggests he isn't as Jar Jar as he appears. The whole Darth Jar Jar thing is based on the idea that the stupidity is an act.

Absolutely no likeable characters.
The wookie suit looked worse than the famous n fake sasquatch video
A series about jedi with no light sabre fights.
For a million dollar a minute programme some of the space scenes looked a bit odd.
