D&D (2024) 2024 Player's Handbook Reveal #1: "Everything You Need To Know!"

Each day this week, Wizards of the Coast will be releasing a new live-streamed preview video based on the upcoming Player's Handbook. The first is entitled Everything You Need To Know and you can watch it live below (or, if you missed it, you should be able to watch it from the start afterwards). The video focuses on weapon mastery and character origins.

There will be new videos on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday this week, focusing on the Fighter, the Paladin, and the Barbarian, with (presumably) more in the coming weeks.

Video on Feats, Backgrounds, and Species.

@Whizbang Dustyboots - if you go to the actual video it scrolls up and down a little...

Video on Feats, Backgrounds, and Species.
Two useful datapoints on one of the big mysteries, which is what version of Aasimar we're getting. One is that you can pick your transformation type when you use it, instead of being locked into one particular one. The other is that I believe we get a look at the species art at 10:36 of the video, which we had a whole debate thread on what their visual style should be.

In the art the traits seem to be golden pupilless eyes, some but not all with metallic green skin, and some but not all with wings. The "green skin" seems to be directly referencing Planetars, and overall there seems to be a strong hueing to the current MM design style of Angels.

As far as compatibility, in the background video they say that if you want to use a species from an old book that isn't in here, they'll have rules on how to do it. I wonder how that will be implemented in Beyond.

Or if the mods would do something about it.
Mod note:

If you don't report posts, do not expect action. The only report we got of a problem in this thread was reporting your post, not anything else.

If your basic complaint is, "I disagree with these points and don't wish to see them anymore" please recognize that isn't usually moderator-actionable.
