I thought Manny Jacinto killed it in this episode. Came across as both slimy and terrifying, leavened with hints of humor.

Yeah. I thought the same thing. At first I wondered why she would do that, and then the swap happened.

I mean, somehow she cut her hair exactly right with a lightsaber? I laughed.....

My biggest issue isn't Sol leaving ANOTHER BADY GUY ALIVE for no good reason. It's that it is the SAME story as Obi Wan. How about they think up a different way for this to go. Just one time, maybe?

The circumstances are different. In Obi-wan, Obi-wan was the only one who could stop Vader. In this series the Jedi are a large organisation who should theoretically be able to amass the numbers to take down a threat like this, without necessarily killing him.

Yes and no. Yes they have numbers, but numbers work best on a overt threat. A Sith is a covert threat. If they don't take him down now, he can disappear and they may never find him.

He left him alive, after winning a fight, just like Obi did in his tv show. My point is, there are other ways for the Sith to live than Jedi just deciding not to save the galaxy. Like maybe the bugs pick him up while he's winning? Maybe Osha saves Sol that way? There are a zillion other ways for him to live, other than Obi/Sol deciding not to end the threat while he has the chance.
