Dungeon Master's Screen (2024)

D&D (2024) New DM Screen Revealed By NZ Retailer

I never really used a DM screen. They get in the way and build a wall between me and my players. Which is a shame, because they are so pretty!
I have and will always require a wall between me and my players; but that is not the point of a DM screen.
I'll definitely pick up plus the alternate cover edition which will come with the slip case.

This has been the Way and will be always the Way

I think what makes a good DM screen is very subjective. I'm surprised WotC hasn't created a screen that includes most, or all of the relevant tables from the PHB, DMG, MM that are magnetic so you can pick and choose which tables/information you want, and even customize them for a specific adventure.
It'll never exists because every good DM knows this: your screen is yours, its tailored by the DM, in many ways customized. This is the Way.

Once again someone saying it'll never exist. Sure, its probably unlikely but you never know, WotC could create a modular DM Screen at some point, if not them then someone else. I'm not talking about just a screen where you can just slip in your own sheets, because creating those custom sheets is usually time consuming and IME never come out quite right.

Isn't that pretty much what I said...a modular screen that you as a DM can tailor to your needs

Your table looks like a blast to play at. I love props. What's with the floppy discs?
I really like the wilderness screen and dungeon screen for 5e. As of now I'm using the screen that came with Beadle's Phandelver box.
I'm using the Dungeon one. I really like the art on it. Some of the tables are neat, and beneficial for describing rooms you might not have been prepared for.

They are not floppies, they're coasters lol, thank you!!

this is actually the set up for the big finale of our Curse of Strahd campaign, now Im getting Spelljammer set up for our next one. Personally I love DM screens, it's a really great way to keep charts I use regularly, not to mention keeping my monster mini's a surprise. This is the Wyrmwood screen from their KS a couple of years ago, I think they are running a new one now.

I priced one out when the KS was active but it was way too expensive for me. They looked nice but even the base model was pretty expensive and adding all the other cool stuff came out to $700 IIRC. Looks like you can order directly from their site but if I'm not mistaken all the components are handmade/made to order so their lead times might be out pretty far as some of the stuff is pre-order now. The link does say kickstarter so you could be right, if you pre-order from their site perhaps it re-directs to KS.
