Shifting through the gears is fun, but the continuous sharp acceleration and lack of transmission in an EV is definitely its own flavor of driving enjoyment.
There's definitely a different kind of driving pleasure, there.

I used to love driving a stick shift til I started to have a commute that was taking over an hour of bumper to bumper traffic and that pretty much killed that.
I remember parking in a ramp downtown for a concert in my Camaro. That was a frustrating night. Bumper to bumper traffic to get out. Folks kept pulling right up to my back bumper and the incline was so steep, I had no choice but to roll back a few inches every time I engaged the clutch. Finally, the joker behind me understood what was happening and gave me some breathing room.

Thats what I meant by a modern set up would likely reduce this issue if not eliminate it.

Ren, for me is a once in a generation talent (well in my five and half decades of life it is) that continues to amaze me each release. He released a studio version of this song (with an accompanying video) one year ago and it was sublime. His version of this song is not really a cover, more of a retake/remix and this live version just hits different.

I know this is just a vocal from him, but he is a multi-instrumentalist, multi-genre, artist. He can do it all. This is just the latest thing to drop (about 2 hours ago, today).

It's year 2024. Our country is 248 years old, and The Buttonwood Agreement (now the New York Stock Exchange) has been around for more than two centuries. Why are people today still clutching their pearls in shock and disbelief when they learn that businesses only want to make money? This isn't exactly news.
