D&D 5E Goodman Games Next Crowdfunding Project: Terror of the Underdeep

Rather than running an actual preorder through their online store where consumers would have protections?

As a reminder, this is how kickstarter began. It was to get funds to do a project. So it really shouldn't be a surprise you have to wait. That being said, I have become spoiled by EnWorld and others who have their stuff ready to go as soon as it is funded. That is actually more like preorders than what Goodman's Games is doing.

Which isn't a thing Goodman is accused of doing, to my knowledge.

I was responding to the person saying that they should just have preorders instead of crowdfunders and cancel them if they didn't have interest, I wasn't accusing GG of wrongdoings.

It’s approximately the same level range as G1-3/D1-4/Q1. It’s really perfect for our group, who are just wrapping up ToEE.

I mean, there will always be groups for which it fits, but I would either start at 1 or 5, so it can go past the starter set. 16 is also pretty high level, 5-13 sounds much more feasible to me than 8-16

Yeah, it was pretty easy to run my RHoD group up to level 4 and start the adventure there- I think you'd either need to start at a higher level or do some groundwork-laying to do tie-ins with the 8-16 adventure. Or just do disjointed adventures :'D

But I do appreciate an adventure that'll take you up to tier 4.

Wasn't sure if this was posted yet, but just in case: Goodman Games dropped a big "hint" on what their next crowdfunding project will be: Terror of the Underdeep. Other than it being "A Giant Box of Adventure for your 5E Game", no other info yet.

Will this have VTT maps for Roll20? Caverns of Thracia didn't and that made it useless for me.

Given the title, I’m thinking it’s more of an AP or mega dungeon. Hopefully we’ll hear more details soon!

But it's on Backerkit. GG's policy is to use Kickstarter to crowdfund new products and Backerkit to crowdfund reprints.

So I don't know for sure what's going to be in here, but the fact that it's on Backerkit strongly suggests it's reprints of the previously published modules, maybe with additional content.
