Beauty is literally in the eye of the beholder. Well, the mind.

"Beauty" as a concept is meaningless and nonexistent without a viewer to render that judgement.

The paint or the sunset or the cloud have objective reality, but whether they are beautiful or aesthetic or meaningful is entirely dependent on there being a mind capable of seeing them as such.

Again, no one is saying that these things aren't subjective. But the subjective definition of what constitutes them can, and often does, consist of things that are objectively the case (unless you want to get into solipsism a la Descartes). Which means that their definition will be met regardless of whether or not they or anyone else exists to be aware of that.
