Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

It’s always so weirdly dissonant trying to match the pineapple on pizza analogy to gaming.

There’s one pizza franchise that’s literally everywhere. Beyond ubiquitous. More common than Starbucks. You’ve got a Starbucks across the street from a Starbucks. Only pizza. Only gaming.

The next closest pizza franchise has one store two towns away and it’s not a pleasant drive.

The next closest pizza place is a mom and pop hole in the wall in the next state and you have to ask a series of increasingly sketchy locals where the place actually is ’cause the paper map you got is outdated.

And they just get smaller and further away and harder to get to from there.

So maybe don’t pretend that they’re all equal and easily accessible.

...Wait.

Pineapple pizza is an analogy?

I was just hatin' on pineapple pizza like I hate on ketchup casserole Chicago Deep Dish pizza!

Y'all gotta make things more clear for people like me that can barely catch the single entendres.
I have a friend who routinely spits out triple, or even quadruple entendres. It's almost frightening on how many levels his brain works, simultaneously. He's like Pilot from "Farscape", but with innuendo.

I get what you're saying, but I'm not sure I completely agree.

DriveThrüberRPG delivers pizzas from almost every franchise, and sends it anywhere in the world. KrustStarter sends out new and exciting menu items every few months. And there are tons of folks on Calzone20 or FoundryPZA that would love to share a slice with you, no matter what you're serving up.

Pizza, in all it's varied and delicious forms, has never been more accessible IMO. Certainly not equal... Pizza of the Coast is the clear leader and industry standard. But pizza in general is definitely accessible.

2. Gorice's Gospel: All conversations about TTRPG theory on enworld inevitably become arguments about the Forge.

That one's very hard to avoid, because an awful lot of people who think about TTRPG theory have absorbed at least some elements of GNS and related, and as such its really easy for such discussions to head back to the Forge at some point in the cycle, and not necessarily take long.

(And it doesn't even have to be someone who is avowedly coming from a Forgeite stance, just because some common use terminology is so associated with it. I'm often talking about concepts I first saw discussed back in the rec.games.frp.advocacy days, many of which were absorbed and mutated on the Forge, but that doesn't mean I'm interested in carrying water for their particular restatements and takes of those, but its hard to avoid getting dragged into that).
