(OOC) Scourge of Daggerford (Full)

I've been struggling to word this post, which is one of the reasons that this game has stalled.

You see, I love this game and would like to continue with it, but I have NO INTEREST whatsoever in doing more at THIS location. We were stuck down there for so long. I would like to freshen this game up by moving back to Daggerford and setting forth again.

If all you want to do is go destroy the Altars to Malar, we can say you did that before leaving.

Can we pick up after a time jump and discuss where to go next?

@TaranTheWanderer, I know you've expressed a desire to quit this game, but I think that Morgan has some information to share, especially if he goes to Waterdeep before returning to Daggerford. I suppose I could NPC him for it, but I'd like you to be involved, if you're interested, especially if we start a new (and possibly last or second-to-last) "chapter" when it comes to this game.

Thoughts everyone?

Fine by me, and I'm in to the end, whenever that may be.

I want to play and I'd like to get it going again, with everyone posting regularly. Happy to have a segue back to Daggerford or elsewhere.
At the same time, if there isn't a critical mass of players wanting to continue, then I think it's worth saying that and maybe just wrapping up. I'd also love it if Taran stayed.

I'm curious how many people are still around to play. If people are still available, then I'm also happy to play. I'm also happy to have this part of the story narrated in order to segue to the next scene.

The reason I posted was, if the game was just going to remain unfinished, I felt like having my character leave would give me a feeling of completion which seemed satisfying. It wasn't because I wasn't enjoying it - I like the character and the story.

IIRC, Escella wanted to know what we were doing here shortly after we arrived. :) I'm down. How much of a time skip?

"Back to Daggerford" -- Since I started playing, we've never been to Daggerford. (The charsheet for Escella is from early 2020.)

Can we get some background info on the time skip?

After all, we were sent out to check on the orcs and gnolls - we could have a short stop at the Floshin manor too. All "off the screen" - this would give Lunn a reason to go on with the group since he joined as a friend of the elves.

This is the end of an era but the start of a new one.

I'm going to start up a new set of threads to breathe life into this game. It might be a bit before we fully start up again, but hopefully we will gain some momentum from a fresh start. I'll post an invite to you all to rejoin the new "sequel/finale" game.

This is something I've been thinking about for a long time - PBP games should be run one adventure at a time and not as campaigns. For example this one should have been done with each of the locations - Joulkoun, Floshin Estate, and Phylund Lodge - as separate games done as a series. Players can certainly be invited back, but a small break and invites sent out to both returning and new players will always, I think, give a bit of a "freshening" to a PBP game.

We'll try it and see how it works!
