D&D Monster Manual (2025)

D&D (2024) D&D Monster Manual (2025)

To be clear we know the green dragon preview from a few months ago is no longer accurate. Even the skeletons and kuo-toa shown had the caveat that they were not final. The final statblocks we have seen are:
  • Cyclops
  • half-dragon
  • empyreans
  • animal lords
Here is a link to these on EnWorld: New cyclops, half-dragon, empyreans, and Animal Lord statblocks have hit the internet.
Thanks. I am following that thread but I don't actually see statblocks attached. Am I missing it?

The site is divided into several sub-fora. You can read and post about Level Up, which has its own sub-forum, without ever reading or posting in the D&D forum.
As I've said, there are a lot of topics that do not demand 5.5 as the example game (general gaming topics, things that apply to lots of D&D-style games, etc). Many of those discussions take place in the D&D forum.

I linked to it before I looked at the thread, sorry. You have to watch the videos to see the stat blocks. Only the empyrean stat block is shown in full. The cyclops stat blocks are full shown, but only a part at a time, and the just tell you about the animal lords stat blocks (in writing) without showing the actual stat block. I have posted both the Empyrean and cyclops stat blocks in other threads (heck maybe even this one).

Thank you very much.

it is interesting that the Empyrean has Legendary Actions. Did WotC change their mind on the Reaction change (as seen in the Green Dragon statblock) or do we think it will vary from creature to creature?

Also: still nothing in any of these about "bloodied."

It seems they back tracked. In the dragon video they specifically mention legendary actions. So it looks like they area back!

Bloodied has been mentioned, but I think it will be very limited. Not like 4e where almost everything had a bloodied reaction or trait.

You can look at that way, or you could say: glad it is coming back!

Though for me that wasn't the best monster design innovation from 4e for me. The recharge mechanic, and concise format and iconography did it for me.
I did not realize recharge was a 4E innovation. I could have sworn it was Pathfinder...
