D&D (2024) DMG 2024: The Planes

That works if you like the phlogiston. I didn't like or dislike it, so I'm really not bummed that it's gone. Also, I think you meant exit with the bolded up there.
I did mean exit, thank you. And I loved the Flow, but I'm a fan of classical and medieval cosmologies and natural philosophy.

Honestly, there is no evidence for this view. Every D&D module uses dungeons as discrete play areas. Whatever you are advocating here is not backed up by what WotC actually publishes (which I think is safecto assume is what they think is appropriate for the game)
I think you greatly missed my point.

My point wasn't that there are no more dungeons.

My point was that dungeons are no longer the dominant paradigm.

There's nothing they can do to avoid that complaint. Change things drastically and make a completely new edition, and they're making a new edition as a money grab. Don't change things much like they did with 5.5e, and they just made a few minor changes as a money grab.
"Money grab" is one of those terms the Internet has run into the ground by crying wolf on every project a company does that they don't like.

In my opinion, I'm glad the Cosmology section is in the new DMG for the same reason I'm glad the Lore Glossary is: it's a helpful tool for new and old DMs alike who are interested in the multiversal lore that is baked into a lot of the books. Knowing what the Nine Hells is with a certain degree of detail helps DMs who are running devils from there. If the DM wants to take another way of looking at devils, they are free to do so still.

I do agree that dungeons could've potentially been fleshed out a bit more, but there's only so much space, and I don't know what else could've been cut.

That should be a paragraph in the MM in the devils section.

I would prefer there both be a Nine Hells section in the DMG and a Devil Section in the MM.

Again with the bad organization. Why?
Not bad organization just different. They decided they wanted to do all the monsters alphabetically, so the Barbed Devil, and Ice Devil will be in their own sections for example rather than sharing the Devil area. I would prefer a Devil Section, but I understand the logic.

There is supposed to be a thing collecting the various monsters based on sub types like Devil and such, which may have the Devil Lore and the like, but we don't know yet.
