So, the same things as a good non-dungeon adventure. Why does it need to be a dungeon?

Why not? Why does it need to be a wilderness, or a city, or outer space? Dungeons are cool.

It doesn't need to be, but some people like them, and there's no reason it shouldn't be.

No reason outer space shouldn’t be either, apart from finite space.

But a dungeon is simply an interior location in an adventure, and adventures are in the DMG.

“I like it” isn’t really a good enough reason for it to squeeze something else out of the DMG. The universe doesn’t revolve around me.
