After a few days there it was sent out to... Indianapolis.

A recent ebay purchase being shipped to Connecticut from North Carolina decided to take a brief vacation to Puerto Rico before it arrived...

(The fact that they sent the wrong damn item was just pure bonus aggravation...)

I'm guessing that Indy is probably the nearest shipping hub - everything gets sent to one regional hub before getting sent out to the different places that would deliver it to you or your local post office.

Used to be everything was shipped direct, and it took only a day, then there was a reorganization, which everything regional went to Indy, now reports are that Indy is in shambles.

I’ve waited patiently on the Monty Python’s Cocurricular Mediaeval Reenactment Programme Kickstarter for however long and that’s fine. Whenever it gets here it gets here.

The package finally got a shipping label on Feb 26. Woo hoo! And it took three days to move from that to USPS is waiting for the package. Boo hiss! And it’s been sitting there since Mar 1.

Just put the box on a truck. It would be quicker to fly to the east coast and pick it up myself.

I have gotten into ordering certain clothing (and some other products) from DTC (direct to consumer) companies. Some of what I order is MTO (made to order). MTO stuff- clothing or otherwise- sometimes takes weeks, months or years for you to get your order, but they almost always tell you what the wait time is going to be before you place an order.

I found a pair of higher-end leather sneakers from a DTC company that had a LOT of 4-5️ reviews and almost no low ones. Even the message board posts were relentlessly positive, with frequent recommendations to people’s queries. So I felt confident in giving them a try.

I placed my order in November; the shoes have still not arrived. They were not MTO. Communications with the company’s CustServ has revealed that the factory keeps not making them in my size.

I’ve put them on notice that they have 2 weeks.

But it's a beautiful sunny morning in Portland, Oregon...and I just got an email from my student loan provider, letting me know that two of my student loans have been paid in full.
