Spoilers Daredevil: Born Again (Spoilers)

I love that this show is as much a character study of Fisk as of Murdock. And I love the dichotomy between the two of them. They’re like two sides of the same coin.

EDIT: And I’m all caught up now! Did Vanessa actually send Luca to kill her husband, or did she knowingly send him into a trap? Or was it a bit of both?

Also, I get the feeling that both Matt and Wilson will lose (or come into conflict with) their respective love interests. Vanessa will eventually find out about Adam, and Heather will find out that she’s dating Daredevil (“a coward in a mask”, as she put it).

EDIT 2:
I guess someone (Fisk?) tips off the Anti-Vigilante Taskforce to Daredevil’s identity, since that trailer shows cops invading Matt’s apartment.

Attack him when he can do so without maiming him so brutally and psychotically?
You seem to be focused on the injury. Daredevil had already tried to take him down, and the man was a good fighter, and he was having problems. This isn't like he was overwhelmingly more skilled like with the police officers. This was a proper fight. When in one of those, you try to either (a) end it as soon as possible or (b) run. He got the opening after taking blows and being surprisingly ineffective and took it. There was nothing psychotic about that, IMO. You get in a fight, you might get permanently hurt.

Heather is actually a character from the comics, and it does go badly, so I'm not expecting to have good things. But she said a 'coward in a mask' to Muse- trying to trigger him to get the upper hand. I thought that part was pretty well spelled out. She tried to submit, then to reason, then moved on to triggering.

I dunno, track him back to his boss or lair or wherever he's going? Attack him when he can do so without maiming him so brutally and psychotically? He had all the options in the world at that point. The guy was not an immediate threat to anyone and didn't even have any stolen goods.
You keep repeating this. Why do you say this? DD got the diamond from this guy because this guy gave the woman a candy. At least that's how I understood it.

When I saw Foggy in the first episode I said to myself, "Oh, I thought he wasn't in this series."

I had seen the news that he was, which... great fake-out, man. And apparently in the original concept, Foggy died offscreen, which would have stunk, so I'm glad they didn't do that.

I have also seen one of the producers remark that, Both Foggy and Karen appear in Season 2, which is already filming. So there is that.

I thought Matt did the swap out when he tossed the bag to them, but then that means they didnt check, so you may be correct

I think it was 100% a setup to kill Luca.

One of the cornerstones of the series has been that Fisk and Vanessa, as twisted as they are, are basically made for each other. While they are going through a rocky patch, I fully expect them to come back to each other by the end. Now when Vanessa finds out about Adam…she will probably be pissed. But ultimately Vanessa accepts Fisk’s violent nature, and likely loves him in part for it, so I think in the long term she will get over it.

Flashbacks maybe?

Yeah, I’ve started watching the OG Daredevil show so I can get all the context. The fact that she’s fine with Wilson blowing up a bunch of buildings with people in them while they’re on their second date says a lot about her!

I am having a very difficult time reconciling your description of what happened with what I saw with my own eyes. This was not a simple theft where lives were not endangered. This was a robbery committed by well armed men, who deliberately threatened the lives of unarmed people, and assaulted a "blind" man. If someone pointed a gun in your face would you seriously tell me you weren't endangered? If so, you've got ice in your veins.

I should note that stopping bank robbers is a classic superhero move. Spider-Man did it when Doc Ock was robbing the bank in the 2nd Tobey movie and he stopped another robbery in Tom's first Spider-Man movie.
I don't understand...I don't have any problem with what Matt did. Sorry if it seemed otherwise.

Yeah, and it can be problematic. It's a miracle no one died in the fight between Peter and Otto...what if Otto had just stolen the money and Peter tracked him down later? No worries about innocents.
