Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

I don’t know. Just less interesting threads. The top of the forums just having the same five or six mega threads clogging things.
It’s that phase in edition churn where folks are used to beating one topic to death but there’s nothing left to beat to death so they go back to the old standards because they forgot what it’s like to just discuss gaming generally. Or something…

Do you, the reader, actually have a lot of free time during the week?

My kid is an adult now, I've had a stable but often overworking job, and I go to the gym.

By the time my day starts (6:30ish) to 'ends' after dinner/clean up, I'm quite likely at 8:30 pm, physically exhausted, and pretty much over any kind of engagement of any depth.

Its now 7:35AM on a Saturday, and I'm kinda/sorta creeping up on a bit of a panic because I have maybe an hour before the house wakes up and I have to get to work.

I just want to work on my shadowdark.

I know I could drop the gym, but its pretty much the only break I have for my sanity.

/rant.

Lots and lots of writers and thinkers have valued the time where they were doing other stuff -- the gym is a good one here -- where your subconscious can work on the thinking work in the background.

I suspect your gym time is more useful for Shadowdark than it seems.

Not this thread.

I think that's the perfect encapsulation of so many things that are wrong with the world. People just randomly decide that words mean their opposite and will die on that hill...and everyone else feels compelled to correct them. Suddenly up means down and then half the forum feels the call to adventure. We should all know better, and yet we repeat this dance several times a day. At this point this response is predictable and typically weaponized against those who feel compelled to correct. You could just not.

Oh for sure it is. Most of my ideas come either while I'm between sets or on the bike, or when I'm able to key in notes on my phone while I'm out running errands.

EDIT: I've been able to focus for an hour, and I reformatted my Psion stuff. Very close now to 'complete'. :D

Umm Batman shouldn't you have taught Robin how to drive?
