Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

I think many of the people who blocked me over the years did so to escape the plethora of "5E Survivor" threads I was responsible for. I haven't done one of those in years, but alas... they'll never know.
Has it really been YEARS !?! Has it really been that long? Have I been on this site so long as to overlook something that happened years ago.

That's it. I'm blocking you for making me feel old.

;-)

Everthing was so fragmented back then, and we didn't have much of an internet, so it is possible this was the norm just for my group. But I also have memories of going to game stores or smoke shops and comic stores, where there were just more systems on the shelf (again that could be local). I feel like the d20 boom had an impact here. Things don't seem as homogenous to me as they were in the 2000s (when it seemed like the only system for anything I could find was d20 and getting people to try something like Savage Worlds felt like pulling teeth). Obviously there are plenty of other games now getting attention. But it isn't like I have seen any actual data on this
I feel it was the "norm" "back then" for many of us because we simply were younger, generally got into the hobby while in school, and simply had more time.

As someone how has an intense pet peeve of people pointing anywhere near my face, especially while driving, I sympathize. I would have bitten a lot of fingers over the decades, but you don't know where those things have been...or worse, you do.

If I had a nickel for every time I was bitten by a raging barista <SNIP> I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.
It would be weird, but...
while reaching for my venti iced caramel macchiato with almond milk and an extra shot of espresso (caramel drizzle divided equally in the bottom and on top of the foam, with light ice, add 3 pumps of mocha syrup, 2 pumps of toffee nut syrup, and a sprinkle of cinnamon on top, in a grande cup with a separate cup of ice on the side and a packet of Sweet'N Low),
ya kinda had it coming. :‑)

Finally getting caught up?
Yeah. Sorry. I have this bad habit of responding as I read and not using the multi‑quote feature. On the plus side, some people hate when people use the multi‑quote feature. Others hate when you don't use it. If I'm going to piss people off either way, I'll always choose the laziest way to piss people off.

But if you're talking about archaeology and don't know what something is, it's immediately "of religious significance." Nothing else applies.
Even entire categories of items they know exactly what it's for they will label as "religious artifact" to protect the delicate sensibilities of the more faint of heart. Marital aids are one glaring example. There's about 30,000 years of evidence for their use and yet modern people...those that can acknowledge such devices even exist...seem to think they were invented in the last few years. Their moms, aunts, and grandmas certainly never used them.

Okay, looks like there are a couple other podcast fans into many of the same pod casts as me. What other podcasts would you recommend someone into Old Gods of Appalachia and Magnus Archives? I've also been listening to the Gentlemen from Hell.
One older one that I really enjoyed was Homecoming with Catherine Keener and Oscar Isaac - more of a conspiracy thriller but great cast for a podcast and well done.
