D&D (2024) How do we feel about the new spells

True strike works with ranged attacks.
Grab a light crossbow and you got 1d8+Int at 80', with 2 damage types to pick from including radiant which is probably the best. It's the best pure damage cantrip.

Also note you can't swap weapons easily without the Attack action.

The spell is labeled melee spell attack, not ranged. It hasn't ever come up so I've never had to make a final ruling since the text doesn't clarify.

IMO, just don't deal damage with out of turn movement. (I.e. no readying to dash, or monk dragging you around).

That works too.

Range is Self. Doesn't say anything about melee.

Like I said, I don't think it's clear since it's not spelled out in the text but it is indicated in the spell block. Compare that to fire bolt which says ranged spell.

I think star Druid should have got an added spell list, specifically storm of radiance. Honestly just wished they just added that to the list it just makes sense. Star Druid is already pretty strong but we have moon Druid which is still op so idk I think it would be fair

Hyped for sorcerous burst gameplay

Will create a draconic or wm sorcerer when I get the books (waiting for them)
