What will WotC do when they don't have Stranger Things to help prop them up?

I want to be excited for D&D, I really do, but there is nothing on the slate that isn't a rehash of a previous product in theme or topic.

I want to be excited for D&D, I really do, but there is nothing on the slate that isn't a rehash of a previous product in theme or topic.
We have a new MTG setting book coming next year at some point. We otherwise don't know anything other than this year's schedule, which is intentionally weighted with nostalgia bait for the anniversary.
 

I think this is a very smart idea. Best to have all the ducks in a row to get this launched properly.

The only other Stranger Things boxed set was 7 years ago. I think any claim that Stranger Things is propping up D&D is… hard to support.
