I know it wasn't probably what the poll is asking about, but I'd like to see something like 3.5's Dragon Shaman. It's auras provide support buffs to a party making them a force multiplier like the Warlord, but because their abilities are strictly supernatural, I think they'll go over better with the "shout hands back on" crowd, ie, that segment of the player base that doesn't feel that you can do what the Warlord does without some kind of magic.

A Real Assassin, not the archtype they have, but an actual Assassin Class.
Yes.
Or, perhaps...a

Cavalier Class.

Just as valid as the Warlord Class.

They are prior full classes (as opposed to prestige) from Hardcover D&D books that are no longer classes now.

Though, I suppose in theory they could combine the Marshall (though that was more a miniatures HB class) with the Warlord.
Auras and movement and some dice to throw around.

I keep considering
I voted for a Gish, however... the Artificer in 5E is kind of already holding that space.
Kinda, though a subclass with weapon use focus and no pet would help a lot.
Other - something completely non-caster but NOT Warlord. Knight, maybe?
What possible thing could a non magical knight do that doesn’t also fit the warlord? If it’s just the name then whatever vanishingly few care about the name warlord.
Something intelligence based is a gaping hole.
Yeah I wish we could see an Int based mystical assassin and a monk-based gish.

Anyway I voted warlord (different name. Always.) because it’s the least currently fudge-able in the current rules. Shephard Druid, Spirit Bard, and just a Druid with the right spells in general can do Shaman, and there is a lot of gish in 5e at this point.

I want a proper gish class and I wish the Druid better filled the Shaman space, but the Warlord is just straight up missing AFAIC.
