Glory to Marik
Yeah the focus shifted quickly away from the Maquis didnt it?“For the Cause”: Hey, look! The Maquis are back! Haven’t heard from them in a while. This was a solid episode.

Yeah, it felt like they were going to be a big deal, but then they quickly faded into the background. I think the previous episode involving them was the one where Riker’s transporter twin tried to steal the Defiant.Yeah the focus shifted quickly away from the Maquis didnt it?
Sisko's former buddy captain going rogue seemed like a long time set up. Then, vanished as they moved on. Thats even before the Dominion war.Yeah, it felt like they were going to be a big deal, but then they quickly faded into the background. He was probably off at some "spa" getting the Garth of Izar treatment, during the war.Sisko's former buddy captain going rogue seemed like a long time set up. Then, vanished as they moved on. Thats even before the Dominion war.
It's mentioned briefly that he was killed in some Maquis raid or Dominion fight by Edington. He was probably off at some "spa" getting the Garth of Izar treatment, during the war.
Ah, right. It was actually Edington I was thinking of, who ultimately gets arrested. It's mentioned briefly that he was killed in some Maquis raid or Dominion fight by Edington.
Yes, it seems like Maquis were gonna be an inflame point between Cardassia and Bajor putting Federation in the middle, but Dominion came along and ate that lunch.Yeah, the Maquis were ultimately just one plot thread too many for the writers, which is a shame, because a lot of the themes involved with them were ones that the show liked to explore. But with the tides of multiple conflicts sweeping across the region, it was tough to keep them relevant without compromising other storylines.
